Al Absi: The government gives a great importance to safeguarding the rights of all workers


Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) CEO, Chairman of the National Committee to Combat Trafficking in Persons, Mr. Ausamah bin Abdullah Al-Absi, confirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain gives a great importance to safeguarding the rights of all foreign workers in the Kingdom, starting from its advanced economic, noting that the Kingdom has enacted a number of legislations flowing into this framework.

Stopping renewal of expired permits with expiry exceeding 3 months

Dear Clients,

kindly be informed that today 29-02-2016 marks the final day for renewing expired permits of three months or more since expiry.  Please be informed that the system will automatically cancel expired applications under the mentioned criteria. Once cancelled, the permit will be nonrenewable and the employer will have to apply for new permits.

IOM: Bahrain a global model for best practice for foreign workers


The Director General of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), Mr William Lacy Swing, has said that the Kingdom of Bahrain is considered a global role model for its practices in dealing with foreign workers.
