LMRA Suspends Agency’s Licence


The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) suspended the license of a recruitment agency in the Kingdom as the agency provided a family with a sick maid . LMRA visas for maids

The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) will officially take over the responsibility of issuing work visas to housemaids and other domestic workers from tomorrow. Labour Minister Jameel Humaidan paid several surprise visits to worksites across the Kingdom on Tuesday.The visit was made to ensure companies’ commitment to the ministry’s summer work ban, which prohibits outdoor labourers to work between 12pm and 4pm in July and August.During the visit, Mr. Humaidan met worksite supervisors and discussed their observations and requirements.
