The Bangladeshi Embassy is anticipating a surge in the number of Easy Exit applicants with the advent of Ramadhan.
“At present we receive about 500 applicants each week. But from the feedback received during our visits to different areas in the Kingdom,
Over 4,000 illegal expats have left the Kingdom since the start of the Easy Exit campaign. Spokesperson for the supreme committee tasked with tackling the problem of illegal labour, Waheed Al Beloushi, revealed yesterday that more that 4,000 labourers have left under the scheme at a rate of around 500 a week. MANAMA - A total of 338 illegal expatriate workers have been arrested by authorities in Bahrain, out of whom 110 face deportation. The arrests followed inspection raids carried out between January and June. (more…)
