Last chance as firms face bill

COMPANIES will be billed soon based on a new list of the number of expatriates they employ, it emerged yesterday. The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) has already sent out letters by post to more than 50,000 companies with the list of their employees.

New LMRA call to companies

COMPANIES need to come forward to provide up-to-date information on their expatriate workers to labour authorities, it was reiterated yesterday.

With a little more than a month remaining for the July 1 deadline for companies to “cleanse” their data, only about 20 per cent of the expatriate workers have been registered so far, said Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) chief executive Ali Radhi.

COMPANIES are still lagging behind in providing up-to-date information on their expatriate workers to labour authorities, it was revealed yesterday. Sixty three per cent of companies and other employers in Bahrain have registered with the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA).

COMPANIES are massively behind in providing up-to-date information on their expatriate workers to labour authorities, it emerged yesterday. Sixty-one per cent of companies and other employers in Bahrain have registered with the new Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA).
