Rethink ‘crucial’ on Bahrainisation level in gold and jewellery trade

AUTHORITIES could finally decide on the Bahrainisation level needed in the gold and jewellery sector.

EXTEND LMRA FEES FREEZE

MANAMA: Bahrain’s businessmen have demanded authorities push back a freeze on fees for foreign workers to the end of the year.

They claim they are still recovering from financial downturns caused by last year’s unrest and the BD10 Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) fee would negatively affect businesses as some were still struggling to stay afloat. (more…)

LMRA launches a new refund process to serve the business owners

LMRA’s chief executive Ausamah bin Abdullah Al-Absi Calls on business owners who have credit notes in the system and want to get their owed amounts paid, to visit the customer services department to submit the relevant form, explaining that those who do not want to use that new process can still keep the credit amounts owed to them as a credit note that can be used to pay for any of the transactions in LMRA. MANAMA: Businessmen yesterday called for the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) to be axed during a workshop held to discuss private sector reforms.
