I refer to the letter “Family reunion by worker” (GDN, April 22). Apart from Indian Embassy officials, I would request the Ministry of Labour and LMRA to come forward to help the person, enabling him to leave the kingdom since he has not seen his family for six years. Please ensure that he gets all his dues from his previous employer. B G Dhar

His Majesty King Hamad yesterday issued a decree reshuffling the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) board of directors.
Chaired by the Labour Minister, the new-look LMRA board comprises as members for a four-year term Sabah Salem Al Dosary, Dr Mohammed Ahmed Al Amer, Shaikh Ahmed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Dr Khalid Mohammed Abdulla Taqui, Sager Shaheen Sager, Nabeel Khalid Kanoo, Abdulla Mohammed Hussein and Ibrahim Hamad Abdulla.

MANAMA:
The monthly fee levied by the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) on each expatriate worker has been suspended for six months. His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, yesterday announced the measure.
