Bahrain’s labour market reforms have started to increase the cost of foreign workers to the benefit of locals, a government official said, with the government now working on introducing caps on foreign labour.
Eight expats arrested in raid on illegal vendors
Wednesday, January 13th, 2010EIGHT expatriate workers were yesterday arrested during a crackdown on illegal street vendors.
The arrest came after the launch of a new campaign organised by the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) and the Northern Governorate to remove illegal vendors off the street.
