LMRA receives Heritage Foundation delegation

CEO of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), Chairman of the National Committee to Combat Trafficking in Persons, Ausama bin Abdulla Al-Absi, has received a delegation from the Heritage Foundation, comprising senior researcher James Phillips, Thomas Callender and Madyson Hutchinson. 

Al-Absi gave a brief on the latest development of the labour market reform project. He also talked about a cluster of projects and initiatives for the protection of labour rights. 

He highlighted Bahrain’s keenness to preserve the environment and combating all forms of exploitation of persons and human trafficking. 

The delegation welcomed Bahrain’s efforts to preserve the environment. Praising the LMRA’s role in following the latest standards and procedures that contribute to promoting the work environment in the interest of the three production parties. 

The delegation also pointed out Bahrain’s leading role in combating trafficking in persons, which boosts its standing in the same field.
