LMRA’s efforts in combating human trafficking commended


Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) CEO and Chairman of the National Committee to Combat Trafficking in Persons (NCCTP), Osama bin Abdullah Al-Absi, today received a European parliamentary delegation led by member of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Amjad Bashir.

Al-Absi gave a brief presentation of the labour market reform project and the actions taken to address the irregular employment and human trafficking.

He gave detailed brief on the legal mechanisms to enhance Bahrain’s efforts in combating human trafficking to ensure the victims’ rights.

He stressed keenness to benefit from the international expertise in the same area, pointing out Bahrain’s keenness on joining international conventions relating to the respect for labour rights.

The European delegation hailed the LMAR’s efforts in the development of work environment, supporting the expat’s labour and its resolve to combat human trafficking.

  1. السلام عليكم .. لو سمحتو عندي استفسار بخصوص وضعي القانوني .. انا زوجي يشتغل في البحرين وانا موجوده معاه كفاميلي فيزا .. حصلت على اوفر من شركة خاصه وتم توقيع الاوفر من الطرفين وبالتالي اعطوني رسالة يطلبون مني فيها اكنسل الفاميلي فيزا عشان يقدمونلي على تصريح عمل .. فانا بالفعل كنسلت الفاملي فيزا ودخلت في فتره السماح 30 يوم .. المشكله حاليا انه الشركه الخاصه لا تزال تماطل وتاخر في اصدار تصريح عملي بعد ما كنسلت الفاملي فيزا .. شنو الحل في هاي الظرف ؟ اخاف انه ال 30 يوم تنتهي والشركة ما تصدرلي تصريح العمل ؟؟؟

  2. Hello,
    Ahmed is under a family visa, he signed a contract with a private company and they give him a letter asking to cancle his family visa so they will apply for work permit for him.
    What happend that he go ahead and canceled his family visa, but the company are delaying and they are not proceeding his work permit.
    he have only 30 days to stay in bahrain which will finish soon, so what he can do in his case ? he is a victim of that company whom signed the contract with, and they promise him to issue a work permit & they asked him “by letter” to cancle his family visa .. LMRA please support our case !

    My Company Renewed my visa and they paid 144BD for two years health insurance, but my health status in LMRA website is still B ! My CPR is 901014931

    I worked for a furniture company in BIIP called Creative Style as cost estimator.They didnt pay for 2 months so i resigned and asked them to cancel my visa.They deducted all my visa expences from my salary and forced me to leave bahrain and promissed to cancel visa next 2 days. So far my visa status showing Valid and medical status A. My medical date is 30 march 2017. Kindly advice how to cancel my visa as i am in India.
